Curious and creative.

I am an award-winning design professional of over 10 years focused on the crossover between data visualization and user experience design, as well as evolving practices in user research + testing.

I have presented my work and research nationally and internationally, and led numerous design workshops. My research and case studies have been published in academic journals, and I love contributing my thoughts to Nightingale (by the Data Visualization Society). My first book, Information Design for the Common Good, releases worldwide in 2021 through Bloomsbury Press.

I am also an experienced educator, having spent years teaching design research methods, UX/UI design, human-centered design, prototyping and testing, data visualization, typography, and web design to the next generation of creative professionals. I regularly mentor students and collaborate with them on exciting projects and am a Co-Founder of The Agency (Quinnipiac’s full-service communications agency). Some fun clients have included Peanuts International, LEGO, The Discovery Museum, and Sikorsky Aircraft.
